Star of Sumatra | Ink Circles
Designer’s Note: Once again tapping into the rich collection of antique motifs from Indonesia, I’ve adapted and arranged them into a beautiful monochromatic mandala star. The design is 269 x 269 and was stitched on 36 count Platinum Edinburg Linen. The chart was stitched in a gorgeous new color of Gloriana Silk, Royal Plum Light that was created specifically for this design (5 skeins for 1 ply over 2 on 36 count linen). The silk color will be added as a regular color in the Glorianna line after Expo. It features rich similarly-valued hues of plum, teal, forest, and brown that make it perfect for this or any monochrome.
