The “Work Cushion” pattern from Cottage Garden Threads is an ingenious design that creates an adjustable pillow with different heights to create an ergonomic work surface for your lap while stitching, as well as a bunch of little pockets for tools and threads.
Katie very generously allowed me to create a design for the centre of the cushion (her pattern has a embroidery design included) that is suitable for cross-stitch. My design can be stitched in any colour that the stitcher prefers, or in one of the Stitcher’s Palettes.
Model stitched 2 over 2 on 32-count “Antique Ivory” by Zweigart, using JK02 Leatherbound (2 skeins). The design is full crosses over 2 only.
My pattern includes a few adjustments to the “Work Cushion” pattern to allow the cross-stitch piece to be included safely. Of course, stitchers can just stitch the design and frame it, if they prefer.
